Although Dr Stephan Edwards thinks he has discovered an authentic portrait of the nine days queen.<\/p>\n<p>In February, Helen Castor (author of \u2018She Wolves: The Women Who Ruled England Before Elizabeth) announced that she was working on 3 documentaries based on her book (which featured Lady Jane) to be broadcast on BBC4 in 2012. On 6th February, the BBC programme, \u2018Countryfile\u2019 visited the National Trust property <a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nationaltrust.org.uk\/main\/w-vh\/w-visits\/w-findaplace\/w-dunhammassey.htm\"><span style=\"color: #150567;\"><em><strong>Dunham Massey<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>in Cheshire. During the tour of the house, there was a glimpse of a portrait of Lady Jane.<\/p>\n<p>Also in February, various sources reported that Delaroche\u2019s painting, \u2018The Execution of Lady Jane Grey\u2019 had inspired the collection by Giles Deacon at London Fashion Week. (<a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/lifeandstyle\/2011\/feb\/22\/london-fashion-week-england-style\"><span style=\"color: #150567;\"><em><strong>London Fashion Week: England Reigns Supreme<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>). You could buy a Giles Deacon Lady Jane t-shirt in December for \u00a3280! (<a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/life-style\/christmas\/gifts\/fabulous-christmas-gift-ideas-arts-counsel-6270814.html?action=gallery&amp;ino=6\"><span style=\"color: #150567;\"><em><strong>The Independent &#8211; Christmas Gifts Gallery<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>). The New York post had Helen Castor\u2019s She Wolves as a required read.<\/p>\n<p>In March, Linda Porter (author of \u2018Mary Tudor: The First Queen\u2019) very kindly answered my questions relating to Mary Tudor and Lady Jane Grey (<a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\" https:\/\/ladyjanegrey.info\/?page_id=129\"><span style=\"color: #150567;\"><em><strong>Interview with Linda Porter<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>). On March 21st, Leanda de Lisle (author of \u2018The Sisters Who Would Be Queen\u2019) gave a talk about Lady Jane and her sisters for the Friends of Charnwood Forest.<\/p>\n<p>In April, Tracy Borman (author of \u2018Elizabeth\u2019s Women\u2019) kindly answered my questions relating to the Grey sisters <a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/ladyjanegrey.info\/?page_id=73\"><span style=\"color: #150567;\">(<em><strong>Interview with Tracy Borman<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The French Queen\u2019s Letters: Mary Tudor and the Politics of Marriage in Sixteenth-Century Europe\u2019 by Dr Erin Sadlack was published in April as part of the \u2018Queenship and Power\u2019 series. I met up with Dr Sadlack the following month and had a very interesting discussion about Mary Tudor, Lady Jane and the tv show \u2018The Tudors.\u2019 (<a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/ladyjanegrey.info\/?page_id=357\"><span style=\"color: #150567;\"><em><strong>Interview with Dr Erin Sadlack) <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Stephan Edwards updated his research of two supposed portraits of Lady Jane at <a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.somegreymatter.com\/wrestparkportrait.htm\"><span style=\"color: #150567;\"><em><strong>Wrest Park <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>and Syon. Two of the <a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/ladyjanegrey.info\/?p=1039\"><span style=\"color: #150567;\"><em><strong>articles <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>mentioned Lady Jane, as did two of the <a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/ladyjanegrey.info\/?p=1035\"><span style=\"color: #150567;\"><em><strong>podcasts<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>. \u2018Three Maids for a Crown: A Novel of the Grey Sisters\u2019 by Ella March Chase was published in the UK this month <a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/ladyjanegrey.info\/?page_id=119\"><span style=\"color: #150567;\"><em><strong>(Interview with Ella March Chase<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>In September, it was the 10th anniversary of this website. I also visited <a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"https:\/\/ladyjanegrey.info\/?p=1092\"><span style=\"color: #150567;\"><em><strong>Syon Park <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>, where Lady Jane Grey was told she was Queen. The paperback version of \u2018Lady Jane Grey: A Tudor Mystery\u2019 by Eric Ives was published. Also published was \u2018Katherine Parr: Complete Works and Correspondence\u2019 edited by Janel Mueller. Mueller suggests that not only did Katherine Parr give Jane Grey her prayer book but that Katherine wrote it herself.<\/p>\n<p>In December, the British Library\u2019s \u2018Medieval and Earlier Manuscripts Blog,\u2019 posted an article about Jane\u2019s prayerbook. <a style=\"text-decoration: none;\" href=\"http:\/\/britishlibrary.typepad.co.uk\/digitisedmanuscripts\/2011\/12\/rival-queens-precious-books.html\"><span style=\"color: #150567;\"><em><strong>(Rival Queens, Precious Books<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/a>).
