In an article in ‘The Guardian’ at the weekend, Charlotte Higgins wrote that the ‘Lady Jayne’ portrait discovered in Streatham in January 2006, has been bought by the National Portrait Gallery.<\/p>\n

I am really looking forward to seeing this on display. According to the article, the portrait was painted 50 years after Jane’s execution and it is thought that it is probably a copy of an earlier original.<\/p>\n

Having been interested in Lady Jane for over 10 years, I can’t wait to see, what could be the closest ‘likeness’ we will ever get.<\/p>\n
