In January it was reported in the press that a possible portrait of Lady Jane Grey had been discovered at a house in Streatham. The portrait was inscribed ‘Lady Jayne.’ It was announced in November that it had been bought by the National Portrait Gallery.
Alison Weir’s fictional account of the life of Lady Jane Grey, ‘Innocent Traitor’, was published in the UK in April.
